Dear Food Network

Sandra Lee is a disaster of a celebrity on your network. Please cancel her show. She is everything that should NOT be put on television for people who love food. I can tolerate Rachel Ray. But Sandra Lee is horrendous.

Weekend BBQ

One of the challenges I have with blogging about food is that when I get invited to something like a BBQ or potluck, I feel like I have to bring it. When I go, I want to knock it out of the park. This weekend, Reggie and I have been invited to attend a BBQ… Continue reading Weekend BBQ

Chocolate Blueberry

Tonight, I picked up a few more of those chocolate muffin loaf things at the grocery store. They’re really good. Rather than topping them with fresh fruit, I pulled some blueberry puree from the freezer, added some sugar, and let that reduce down a bit. That topped the cakes. Yum.

Saturday Foods

Veggie Roast

Tomorrow night, I’m having dinner and drinks with a friend. So I really wanted to eat in. It was a time to figure out just what… Continue reading Veggie Roast

Leaving Home

I’m at my parents’ house with Reggie, and we’ll be heading out shortly. We need to stop at my mom’s flower shop before heading to the airport. I’ll be doing a conference call in the car. Right now, I just need to get Reggie to poop before we leave. In typical Reggie fashion, he’s being… Continue reading Leaving Home

Tomato Soup

My friend Beth makes an incredible tomato basil soup. Today, I decided to try making some of my own, using a bit of a different technique. First, I chopped up a bunch of tomatoes. They were of two different varieties, which gave me some variations on flavor. Additionally, I chopped up a yellow pepper and… Continue reading Tomato Soup

Leftovers

One of the joys of cooking is putting portions into containers to be frozen and enjoyed at a later time. I don’t plan on doing much cooking this week because we’re heading to my parents’ house. Instead, it’s time to call upon those frozen portions. I just had some chicken noodle soup that I made… Continue reading Leftovers
