Easy Dinner

My dinner tonight was really good. I roasted some asparagus and cooked up some chicken. I prepped the chicken on Saturday and it has been soaking in a marinade ever since. That marinade has jalapeno mustard, lime juice, lime zest, and some olive oil. Oh, this was good.

Battle Bacon

I’m watching Iron Chef America on the Food Network, and tonight it’s Battle Bacon! I never know where these guys come up with their ideas. I do hope Bobby Flay wins. Tomorrow’s lunch is ready to go. German Food Vacation

In the past year or so, I’ve rediscovered my passion for food. I love to cook and learn how food is prepared, but more importantly, I love to eat. One of my favorite food critics/writers is Lynne Rossetto Kasper, the host of The Splendid Table, found on many NPR stations. Lynne has traveled all over… Continue reading German Food Vacation

Mojitos

This is quite possibly one of my favorite cocktails. It’s light, refreshing, and outright tastey. And they’re so easy to make. It’s… Continue reading Mojitos

Beer Brined Steaks

I had a few steaks in the freezer that I pulled out for dinner tonight. I can easily sear them with salt and pepper, but I’ve done that too much lately. What else could I do? Well, they were already in a zipper bag from the freezer, so I coarsely chopped some garlic, added some… Continue reading Beer Brined Steaks
