Another One Bites the Dust

Premium transatlantic airline Eos has gone belly-up. They only flew New York to London in an all-business class configuration. The concept was good, but in this market, the big guys are playing hardball. I fear for Silverjet, who offers a similar service. This is a shame because I always wanted to fly them.

Job Posting

I’m not actively looking for a new job, but this one really caught my attention. I don’t have the experience with large storage systems, nor do I have the experience with multi-terabyte systems. Still, it sounds like an interesting position.

Good Morning, Baltimore

I went with Kraig, Mark, and their friend AJ to see Hairspray tonight at the Wang Theater in Boston. It was fantastic. Never before have I seen a scene “bust” until tonight. The actors were laughing and lost their composure. These guys were a lot of fun, and I enjoyed myself a lot.

Followup

I went to see the surgeon today to follow up after my surgery. She says I’m doing fine. I’ve been having some discomfort around some of the incision sites. She says that will get worse before it gets better but it’s perfectly common. In our discussion, she drew me a picture of what a normal… Continue reading Followup

Hairspray

I mentioned before that I met another gay guy with MS and his partner at the MS Walk. They had an extra ticket to see Hairspray in Boston on Saturday and they’ve invited me to join them. I’m really excited about this. Not only should it be a good show, but these guys seem really… Continue reading Hairspray

Because he’s not spoiled, I only gave him enough… Continue reading Still Hungry Pug

The Appeal

I’ve been reading John Grisham’s The Appeal. Well, I started it about a month ago but haven’t picked it up since my surgery. I finished it tonight. Actually, I burned through the last third of it tonight. Grisham is known for fast paced novels, and this one was no exception. The ending made me about… Continue reading The Appeal

Marathon Monday

Tomorrow is Patriot’s Day, also known as the day the Boston Marathon is run. It’s also known as Avoid the City at all Costs day. It’s a floating holiday for us at work, meaning that I can work if I chose. If I do work, I get a day off in the future. If I… Continue reading Marathon Monday

Floral

Well, the weekend is almost over, and I made five trips to Home Depot and a trip to the Kane’s Flower World in the course of 48 hours, easily spending $300. First, these little guys are popping up in my back yard, and I have no idea what they are, but they’re pretty. I have… Continue reading Floral
