There were some newsworthy events while I was gone.
US Airways ordered a bunch of new Airbus planes. These will replace a big chunk of their aging Boeing fleet. Some of those 767s are getting really old.
Mike Nifong, the rogue prosecutor from the Duke Lacrosse (not a) rape case, is getting disbarred and he’s resigning. He got off way too easy if you ask me. If there was ever a case to tar and feather someone, this would be it. Now a judge, rightfully so, has suspended him immediately. I hope his ass lands in jail. He railroaded those three guys.
And then there is the mess in the middle east. This one scares the shit out of me. If there is a powder keg on our planet, it’s called Gaza. I don’t care which group gets the holy lands. I just want the fighting to stop. When one group of religious fanatics wants to wipe another group of religious fanatics off the map, it’s never a good thing.
