I left my heart in San Francisco

Well, not really. In fact, tonight, I found part of myself.

I had dinner with John, someone I used to be romantically involved with. The distance prevented anything serious from ever happening. Tonight I got to meet his new partner, BJ. Now let me preface this by saying that BJ is a personal trainer who used to be an escort and worked in the adult entertainment industry. My expectations were pretty low. Let me tell you that not only is BJ a good guy, he’s also very smart, carries on a very good conversation, but he also prepared one hell of a dinner. John scored himself one hell of a partner. I had only planned on staying for a little while and ended up spending most of the evening. Much wine was consumed and I really enjoyed myself.

Tomorrow morning, I’m up early to head to the airport for a day of travel. I’m looking forward to this.

San Francisco is a great place to visit—in small doses. I love the sheer gayness of the city, but the “all gay all the time” can start to take a toll on you. Visiting here is always a good thing. Leaving can be refreshing as well.  I know why I come here, and I know why I leave.
