When I got to San Francisco two days ago, I said that I’d never been on a cable car. When I leave San Francisco tomorrow, I will still be able to say that I’ve never been on a cable car.
The cable car rides are complete tourist traps. People wait in line for hours to ride one of these historic things, and it’s a complete waste of time and money.
San Francisco has a completely modern rail system and a streetcar system that has a bunch of old cars painted from liveries all over the country. That’s the real charm. These cable cars are a joke.
If my parents ever came out here, I could totally see them riding the cable cars. My mom would enjoy it.
