My friends Marc and Liz have just rescued a former racing grayhound. Her name is Barb. From what they tell me, Barb is quite an excellent dog. I’m about to find out because I’m heading to their place in Worcester to meet Barb and help them set up their website, mydogbarb.com.
I had suggested that they rescue a Pug, but Marc is deathly allergic to short-furred animals that shed. From what I hear, Barb has hair, not fur. Anyway, even though Barb isn’t a Pug, I applaud them on going the rescue route instead of getting a dog from a puppy mill or backyard breeder.
