Maybe

I might have found myself an apartment. It’s a two bedroom, third floor apartment five doors from the beach. The place is $50 more than what I’m paying in Providence but it includes gas and electric. That means a net savings of about $100 a month. On top of that, my commute gets a lot shorter. There is a catch, though. The guy’s sister is currently occupying it, and she’s supposed to be out by October 1. Due to the hurricane, he’s not sure if that will still happen because she’s planning on moving south. He says no pets because he doesn’t want the noise. He sounds pretty flexible, though.

The place itself is nice with plenty of closet space. I’ll have to buy new box springs (the two-half type) because mine won’t fit up the steps. And my couch will be history. This is a good thing, too. The kitchen is a little small. The bathroom is large and… well… yellow. VERY YELLOW. I will have to summon all of my inner homo’s design skills to figure out what to do with all that yellow tile. But the place is very bright and sunny with a large living room. It’s the perfect size for one person with a home office.
I just took the boys on our last walk on the beach together for a while. That makes me sad. But I do miss my own mattress.
I have to run to whole foods to get some greens for the bunnies. Then I have one more Star Wars movie to watch tonight.
