Fluffy

Last night I had to run to PetSmart to pick up something and there was a woman in the store with a pug puppy. And I mean puppy. Lilly is an eleven week-old pug. And she was SO adorable. She looked a lot like Buddy, only way smaller. It makes me want to get a pug. After two weeks with Buddy and Brutus, one would think I’d be tired of pugs, but I’ve totally fallen in love with the little furballs. So if I get a pug, her name shall be Fluffy.

I’m going to look at an apartment today. It’s on the north shore and is five doors from the beach. But the guy says no pets. I want to take his temperature on that one, though. A lot of people say that but are flexible if you prove to be a responsible tenant. It’s within my zone three criteria as well. I’m really hoping that one of our project managers will come through for me, though. She has a neighbor with a one bedroom in the Roslyndale/JP area. I really like that idea.

There are days when I really love my job. Today is one of those days. Debbie is having a problem with our project management system. She knows this system much better than I do, yet she came to me to try to fix the problem. And I fixed it!

One of the cool things about this company is that there is very little bureaucracy. My managers are here to set me up to succeed, and the help tear down hurdles instead of throwing them up. One doesn’t jump through hoops here, and I like that. I’ve worked for other companies this size that are such difficult places in terms of culture and deploying technology. Yeah, it’s a good thing.
