Young mods…

Yesterday, I was at my grandmother’s 75th birthday event. It was like a miniature family reunion. My mom ran into her cousin, Sally. Of course, I got pulled over to be put on display as my mom’s oldest. I remember Sally because her youngest son went to high school with me. We called him Peanut. I believe he died in a car accident a few years ago. Anyway, Sally’s sister was there, and she introduced her son. She pointed out that he’s going through “a phase” because of his piercings with big jewelry. He only had one eyebrow pierced and his right lobe had a small stud in it. But his left lobe was slightly stretched. It was orange acrylic, roughly 2ga, with white beads. It was hardly huge, though. I mentioned that I went through that phase. She looked a little reassured, asking if I’d outgrown it. I told her not at all, but my job did require me to tone it down a little. My mom put in “Oh, yeah, he had these holes in his ears the size of a quarter.” They were only a half inch, so it was hardly the size of a quarter.

In retrospect, I should have told her that I’ve started to go for more ink instead of metal, and the metal I do keep is just much bigger, dropping my pants, and showing the 6ga prince albert. But alas, I wasn’t wearing jewelry in the PA and I don’t have the guts to do something like that. Besdies, my mom would have killed me.

Well, I have to get ready for this job interview. This pic makes me look relatively normal. I need to shave and touch up the hair. I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow, and I think I’m going to have Dawn whack most of it off. This is way too high maintenance for me.

Oh, five nights in a row. But who’s counting? *g*
