We have your movie tickets. We are Fandango

I saw this ad before the previews when I saw Superman Returns the other night. I thought it was really funny as long as you get the “We are the world” reference. You can find it here, too.

Superman Returns

I have to say that I’m incredibly disappointed. Brandon Routh played Superman to make Christopher Reeve proud. Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor was incredible. But Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane was a really bad choice. She’s certainly no Margot Kidder. I won’t talk about the plot yet, but I will say they left it WIDE… Continue reading Superman Returns

Dinner for one

I hear this is something most Germans know about but Americans and the English don’t.  I read about it here.  I found it on YouTube here.

Random

Have you ever turned on the TV only to find yourself sucked into some random show that would normally have no interest for you? Today, I found myself watching “The Tournament” on OLN. It’s about a bunch of overzealous hockey parents. They think the coach is gay but he’s just European. Every family has some… Continue reading Random

X3

I went to see X-Men 3: The Last Stand today. I’ll avoid any spoilers. But if you’re a real fan, you would have seen it opening weekend, too.  It could have been better, but it certainly didn’t suck. I got to the theater about 3:05 and got tickets for a 3:15 showing. That was a… Continue reading X3

End of an Era

Tonight was the last episode of The West Wing. I started to tear up when President Bartlet gave Charlie the copy of the Constitution.  I feel like we watched Dule Hill grow up on that show.

No TiVo

My TiVo is dead. When I left my place in Providence, I damaged the RCA input jack when I was disconnecting it and it has been limping along ever since. Yesterday, Reggie got behind the TV and bumped the cable. Now I can’t get it to work at all. My TiVo is three years old… Continue reading No TiVo

Aiden James

I went to see Aiden James’ show tonight.  He was really fantastic and I enjoyed his entire set. His songs are from the heart and his voice is golden. I really believe he’s going to go far. I know that I’ll be following his career. His CD will be released in a couple weeks, and… Continue reading Aiden James

Sunday Morning

There is something I really enjoy about the peace and quiet of Sunday mornings. I got up, took Reggie out (a feat in and of itself) and then came back to make some coffee. This morning, I filled the grinder with Green Mountain’s Rain Forest Blend, certainly one of my favorites. I sat on the… Continue reading Sunday Morning
