Wednesday Errands

Now I know where my love of cheesy reality TV comes from, my mom. Last night, we watched Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor: After the Rose. Tonight, she’ll be watching Project Runway with me.

With my mom, there is never a dull moment. She always worries about how the house is going to look when everybody comes in on Thanksgiving. Never mind that people come in and dump stuff on the counter anyway, so it’s not that big of a deal. She has two women who come in once a week to do some light cleaning. So it’s not that big of a deal. Well, she was having a new couch and end tables delivered today. I was here to get them. After the delivery guys left, I called her at the flower shop and asked how she wanted the furniture arranged. She told me to just put the new couch where the old one was. I asked where the new recliner should go. She asked what I was talking about. She hadn’t ordered a new recliner Oops. Don’t get me wrong. The new recliner was actually pretty nice. It was like a suede type of material that looked like weathered leather. It really didn’t go with the rest of her living room. Somehow, the furniture store’s delivery guys gave us somebody else’s chair. Oops. She called and they came back to get it.

Thanksgiving should be interesting.
