I’m not losing my office now. My boss and the manager who was going to be taking our space (the controller) were discussing it. My boss pointed out that there is a “file room” (an empty office) in their area that could be converted back into an office. That was my idea. My boss also pointed out that all of our existing offices would need to be reconfigured with L-shaped desks instead of the existing U-shaped desks to accommodate multiple people.
Somehow, they found more space for the accounting group somewhere else.
