I wrote some kick ass code today. Well, I finished it. It was something I had started several months ago and then put it on the back burner.
This is a process that takes data from our “live” database and copies it to our “archive” database. The problem with these processes is that they can be a bitch to maintain. Not this one, though. It’s completely dynamic and it even checks to make sure that the database structures match before moving on.
I’m kind of looking forward to my boss’ response. The words wow and brilliant are absolutely appropriate.
I think Reggie is going to work with me tomorrow. He needs to put in a good honest day’s work.
