Weekend Update

It’s starting to get colder. Today, if you weren’t in the sun, it was outright chilly here. It won’t be too long before the snow falls.

Friday night, I had dinner with Mike. We ate at Picco in the south end, one of my favorite places to eat. We talked about doing something today, too, but I haven’t heard from him yet. We went back to his place and started watching a movie. I fell asleep curled up next to him. That was kind of nice.  I was really tired from the previous night’s work outing. After heading home, I just crashed.

Saturday, Reggie and I got up and did a few things around the house before heading to Beth and Paul’s house for their housewarming party. We had a really good time. Sam and Murphy came up from Hartford, and the boys played like they usually do. We’ve come to the realization that Murphy is more vocal than the rest of the gang and that Sam has zero sense of direction. She got very lost on her way home, making two seriously wrong decisions. I’ll let her live it down sometime in the distant future.

Today has been a lazy day. Really, I haven’t done jack. My first attempt at productivity was to go to Target and pick up some more k-cup coffee, but they only had a darker roast that I don’t care for. I have an order in with Green Mountain that should ship tomorrow, and I can wait a few days.

Another attempt at productivity came in the form of going to the grocery store. The people at this grocery store on Sundays never cease to amuse me. The crazy old guy that yelled at everybody was a hoot.

Since I picked up a few things to take my lunch to work tomorroww, I’m taking another stab at some potato salad. After that comes a load or two of laundry.

Finally, I have a new version of Expression Engine to install on my site. This is going from 1.4.2 to 1.50. Maybe I’ll wait a few weeks to see if other people have any issues. Then again, my photo upload function is broken, and I hope this fixes it.
