Several months ago, we lost a guy who was the senior tech lead on our helpdesk, Bob. This position has gone unfilled, so we’ve had to readjust the workload and it’s been refreshing. Well, today, we hired “the new Bob.” I interviewed the guy and really like him.
On top of that, we offered a job to someone to temporarily fill in while one of my coworkers is on maternity leave.
Today has been insanely busy at work. But it’s also been productive. At one point, I lost all track of what was going on and what time it was. It was that busy. I had about three things going on at once. One of them was changes to our CRM system. I have to pay our business partner to do this, and I got the approval. It’s not much money, but it’s still cool to implement the technology.
At one point, I went to my boss and told him that I probably pissed off one of my coworkers. He appreciated the fact that I was the one to tell him instead of the coworker. He also told me I was probably wrong.
Reggie and I are going to see Beth and the boys tonight. She needs Reggie to wear Buddy down a little, I think. Tequila chicken sounds good to me!
