This is exceptionally rare, but the new antivirus software on my iBook caught a virus. I was downloading e-mails from the Yahoo! groups I belong to and one of the attachments was infected.
Of course, I’m running some good software (Sophos), and it prevented me from shooting myself in the foot.
My friends who work in the virus industry tell me this is a Windows virus and I would have been safe. But still, it’s good to know the software works.
