I mentioned some new software we’re getting at work. I got to write a big purchase order yesterday to buy it. I love it when my boss trusts me enough to handle shit like that.
Using this software, I’m going to be taking on a pretty big project that involves how we communicate some critical information to our subcontractors. It will really streamline the way we do this. It’s going to be a pretty big challenge, but it’ll be very cool if it works the way I expect it to. As I was talking to a couple of the managers responsible for this process, one asked if we could add a certain feature. I said I didn’t know how. She was flabberghasted because she’d never heard me say I didn’t know how to do something. I explained that I wasn’t saying it couldn’t be done, simply that I had to figure out how it could be done.
This really is going to be cool when I get it working.
