No Bank

I just got a call from Rupert at Veritude. The bank isn’t interested in me. First, I don’t have the large environment experience they want. Second, they think I’m better for more application support roles. Part of that is because I’ve been doing a lot of development work the past year. I’m disappointed, but not… Continue reading No Bank

Shaw’s

I got a call this morning from Rob Wall from Motis this morning. Shaw’s, the grocery store chain, wants to do a phone interview Monday morning at 10:00. They only want to do fifteen minutes to make sure they want to bring me up for a face-to-face, which will probably be later in the week.… Continue reading Shaw’s

Migration

I just found the mail migration job posted on Monster. You’ll find it here. I’m really hoping that the job at the bank comes through, though.

Blog Software

I just spent a few hours moving my site from Nucleus to MovableType. This software is a little more powerful, and the data structures were surprisingly similar. It wasn’t much of a challenge to my SQL skills.

Boxes

I’ve started carrying boxes down to the garage to get them out of the apartment. I never realized that I had quite so much stuff. I’m not looking forward to this move.

Mail Migration

I got a call from Rob Wall at Motis, a tech staffing company. He’s looking for someone to do a rather odd project, and it looks like they’re having a rough time finding someone. Shaw’s, a New England grocery store chain based in Brockton, MA, is looking for a “Senior PC Analyst” to document and… Continue reading Mail Migration

Interview

Steve from the bank didn’t call me. He had a family emergency. Instead, I was called by Brian Mulford from Providence and a guy named Scott from Pittsburgh. This bank has about 1000 Windows servers and about 12,000 users. Right now, they have about 35 Exchange 5.5 servers and are going to Exchnage 2003. They’re… Continue reading Interview

Interview and Project

I got a call from Rachel Besch at Veritude/Fidelity (401-734-6054). She’s the on-site account manager at the Bank. They want to do a phone interview tomorrow morning. Well, she thought Friday would be good, but I’m going to court to fight a speeding ticket. The manager is Steven Tartaglia, and I’m expecting his call Thursday… Continue reading Interview and Project

Four

I got a call from Andrew at Apex this afternoon. We talked for a few minutes. It sounds like he has an Exchange project on the horizon for me. He said he’d drop me an e-mail so I could send him my resume. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard back from him. A little later, I got… Continue reading Four
